School & Daycare Visits

Community groups may request a visit to the fire station to learn about fire apparatus, equipment, emergency response, and the role of the Blackwood Fire Company and Fire District.
Fire apparatus may be available for community events, public programs, and other appropriate outreach opportunities depending on staffing, emergency activity, and operational availability.
The District may provide fire-safety presentations for community groups, organizations, schools, and other audiences. Topics can be tailored to the needs of the group when appropriate.
Residents who need assistance with smoke alarm questions or certain smoke alarm services may contact the District to discuss available resources and determine what assistance may be provided.
Community outreach gives residents an opportunity to meet firefighters, learn about the fire service, and participate in positive hands-on experiences in a relaxed setting.
